Which one to pick
An honest answer
- You ride with an Android phone, want CarPlay or Android Auto, or ride outside mainland Europe: pick Calimoto, Kurviger or REVER. Ride Beyond does not cover you yet.
- You want a long-established app with a large community: the other three have years and many thousands of ratings behind them.
- You plan off-road rides in the US: REVER carries curated trails such as the Backcountry Discovery Routes.
- You ride an iPhone in mainland Europe and do not want to pay for navigation: Ride Beyond gives turn-by-turn navigation, offline routes, ride recording and both curvy-road and off-road routing for free.
- You ride gravel and forest tracks and want the router to pick them on purpose, from fast rally gravel to technical enduro: that is what Ride Beyond's Adventure mode is for.
Also in Ride Beyond
Rally roadbooks built from a recon drive (tulips, distances, CAP headings, export to OpenRally GPX or PDF), rain radar and a ground-wetness layer, a 3D map with your own bike on it, and a rider rating built from grip physics. No ads and no third-party trackers; data stored in the EU. More on the route planner page.
